Bio: Steven Chambers was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Hampton University, located in Hampton, Virginia, with a B.S. in Marketing. At the close of his senior year, Steven recognized a call to ministry and moved to Nashville, TN where he earned a Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt Divinity School. During his time in Nashville, Steven served as Youth Pastor at Kayne Avenue Missionary Baptist Church where he was licensed to preach.

After graduating from Vanderbilt, Steven decided to continue his work with young people and explore a longtime interest in teaching as he entered the 2008 corps of Teach for America in Houston, Texas. He taught for two years as a fourth grade teacher at Clemente Martinez Elementary located in the north region of the Houston Independent School District.

Steven joined the pastoral staff at St. John’s Downtown during the summer of 2009 as Children’s Pastor. He is now Pastor of Children and Youth ministries serving the families of over 350 elementary, middle, and high school students. A proud brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, Steven is a strong advocate for education and recognizes the need for ministry in every aspect of life!

Bio: A Native of Brooklyn, N.Y. Keith L. Somerville ; more affectionately known as Pastor Keith (PK), is a graduate of Morehouse College and currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity at the Interdenominational Theological Center. Over the years, he has served as a Director of Community Development with the Metro Atlanta YMCA, Recruiter with Big Brothers Big Sisters and as an Associate Minister and Program Manager at the Ray of Hope Christian Church in Decatur, GA under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Hale. PK currently serves full-time as the Pastor of Congregational Empowerment at St. John's Downtown UMC under the auspices of Senior Pastors Rudy and Juanita Rasmus. Along with preaching and teaching, he gives supervision and leadership to the Pastoral-Staff and over forty- three Ministries at the church.

Civically, Pastor Keith is a volunteer of many progressive organizations and serves on several Executive Boards including Houston School of Technology, the Learn Through Laughter Foundation Inc, Rebirth Clothing Inc., Wesley
Foundation @ Texas Southern University, and Jaime Foxx's Laffapalooza Comedy Festival. In 2006, Some-1 Ministries was birthed where volunteers served the West end community of Atlanta Georgia by providing biblical studies,
Christian counseling, clothing and food to the hungry, homeless and underserved. PK's raw and unapologetic style of delivering the "Truth" has touched the lives of thousands of people around the world. He is happily married to Jessica Somerville.
